Most of the restaurants in Kolkata tend to be crowded on Mother’s day. Families celebrate the event and mothers turn out to be the centers of attention on that particular day. The non resident Bengalis join in the celebration by sending gifts for their mothers via the various online gift delivery services. This day also sees the children don the chef’s cap in order to pamper their mothers with home made delicacies. Several families visit the shopping malls and heritage plazas to participate in the various family games conducted to celebrate Mother’s Day.
